Zavarro stated that Mr. Pelicot who wanted to testify still intended to speak in front of his wife and three children present in the courtroom since the trial started last week despite not having contact with him since his arrest in late 2020.I overheard some comments in court indicating that his absence would be intentional but that is not the case Ms.Pelicot is not avoiding he will not avoid he will attend and address all inquiries. However there is a medical issue he did not anticipate.

A French man Dominique Pelicot who confessed to drugging his wife and allowing other men to rape her was taken to the hospital before his trial testimony.
