A wanted Australian man hiding out on an idyllic Thai island has been arrested after police swarmed a tropical resort, according to multiple media outlets.

He had been staying on Koh Phangan known for its relaxing atmosphere lively full moon parties and pristine beaches which attract many tourists.

It is believed that the man arrived in Sydney on Friday morning AEST and was traveling to Queensland with detectives.
